Ron A. Phillips is a Vice President and Wealth Strategist at Northern Trust’s San Diego office.
Mr. Phillips has over 30 years of banking experience in San Diego and Denver, Colorado. He has served as President and Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Private Banking and Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining Northern Trust, he served as the Executive Director of the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum and was Senior Vice President of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation.
Mr. Phillips, is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Mr. Phillips serves on numerous community and professional boards and committees. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Southern California Special Olympics and chapter leader for the Rancho Santa Fe Literary Society. He is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club, and San Diego Grantmakers. He serves on the Development Committees for Quail Botanical Gardens, UCSD Executive Planned Giving Council, Family Literacy Council, Helen Woodward Animal Center and Jewish Community Foundation Estate and Tax Planning Council. He has served on the Boards of LEAD San Diego, San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau and the San Diego Chamber Orchestra. In 2000, Ron was named one of the “50 People to Watch” by San Diego Magazine.
Mr. Phillips is a Registered Representative holding both a Series 7 and Series 66 license.
He and his wife, Reggie, live in Carmel Valley. They have two adult children.
