Michele Lambert is the CFO of Digital
Safety Solutions, Inc., a data storage
company located
in Carlsbad, California. Digital Safety
Solutions provides data storage solutions
for all computing environments, including
hardware and software products such
as RAID disk drive arrays, tape libraries,
and SAN architecture and software
(storage management/backup), as well
as business continuance and disaster
recovery planning. The company takes
a unique approach to serving its customers,
focusing on empowering clients through
a clear and simple approach based on
education and honesty, with the goal
of assisting organizations in focusing
on understanding the details behind
implementing storage technology. The
philosophy
of Digital Safety Solutions is to bring
its’ storage expertise to customers,
together determining the best solution
for the organizations individual computing
environment in order to satisfy all
customer needs and requirements.
Prior to joining in the start-up of
Digital Safety Solutions, Inc., Ms.
Lambert took a brief departure from
the world of high-tech, serving as the
CFO of
a San Diego not-for-profit organization.
Previous to that, she led the finance
and administrative functions at Zzyzx
Peripherals, Inc., a San Diego-based
data storage company, from May 1996
through November 2003, serving as the
company’s Controller and Vice President
of Finance. Her tenure at Zzyzx included
sales growth from $8 million in 1996
to the high point of $29 million in
2000 with
no equity infusion, and the subsequent
process of managing the company through
the market downturn.
Ms. Lambert earned her M.B.A. at San
Diego State University in 1996, graduating
with honors including being chosen as
the Outstanding Student in Management
in her class by faculty. She completed
her undergraduate work at the University
of Colorado in 1985, receiving a Bachelor’s
Degree
in Finance. Prior to pursuing her Masters
degree,
Ms. Lambert was employed in management-level
accounting and financial analysis roles
at banking and non-profit organizations
in San Diego.
Ms. Lambert is a member of the Institute
of Management Accountants, Beta Gamma
Sigma, and Phi Kappa Phi. Her personal
interests include traveling and sports.
