Andre D. Guardi, Managing Director

Mr. Guardi joined B. Riley & Co. in 2003 as part of the firm's merger with Friend & Co., an Irvine-based investment bank. Andre has been active in corporate finance since 1988, when he began his career with BCC Capital, a corporate finance and M&A advisory firm. He joined Friend & Co. in 1992 and became one of the firm's Managing Directors of Corporate Finance in 1996.

Mr. Guardi has acted as an advisor to many successful emerging growth and middle market companies in the technology, consumer products and services, industrial products and services, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution industries. Andre's client companies have included: TSE Brakes, SDC Technologies, Autobytel, Metro Mechanical, Nupla Corporation, Pacific Handy Cutter, Corporate DNA, Discovery Partners International, Logiclink, Ambassadors International, Computer Access Technology Corporation, Iteris, Gregg Gift Company, Bosley Medical Institute, Triton Network Systems, TCI Solutions, Marina Medical Billing Services, Zoltek Companies, Vans, IDB Communications, Endar Corporation, Kaiser Resources, Rally's and American Recreation Centers. In addition, Mr. Guardi’s client mandates have involved numerous high profile corporations such as: Berkshire Hathaway, Johnson Controls, Mitsui Chemicals, SoftBank, Dow Corning, Danaher and Best Buy, as well as numerous institutional private equity groups.

Mr. Guardi received a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Utah, where he was an All-American football player before entering the NFL. He was also named an Academic All-American every year of his college career. Mr. Guardi is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
