Ken C. Schmitt, Director of Judy
Thompson & Associates Financial
Executive Search, has been recruiting

for nearly seven years. Ken is dedicated
to improving the industry by identifying
the right people for each of his clients.
Ken previously served as the Manager
of AI Executive’s Southern California
region. As the leader of this start
up, boutique executive search firm,
Ken built the team, developed a brand
in the local market place, and established
contacts and relationships on behalf
of AI throughout the accounting, finance
and audit communities. Prior to AI,
Ken conducted regional and national
searches with Heidrick & Struggles,
a global leader in the retained executive
search industry, as a Senior Associate
in its San Diego office.
Ken has placed senior financial and
general management professionals in
positions including CEO, board member,
CFO, Vice President Finance/Treasury,
Director of Internal Audits/Controls
and Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst.
His client base includes organizations
such as Intuit, Sempra Energy, Heritage
Golf Group, Peregrine Systems, REMEC,
Lennar Land Development, QLogic, Titan,
Sony Electronics, Scripps Health and
Ameriquest Mortgage. Ken has gained
a reputation for his dedication and
received national recognition for
his accomplishments.
Ken continues to build solid relationships
in the financial community since receiving
a degree in business from the University
of San Diego. For example, he participates
in a leadership role for the Mentorship
and Events Committees of the USD School
of Business Administration’s
Alumni Association. Ken holds the
position of the Membership Committee
Chair for the Institute of Internal
Auditors (IIA), and currently serves
as the Vice President of Communications
and President-elect for the Institute
of Management Accountants (IMA), he
is also an active member of the Corporate
Finance Council, Association for Corporate
Growth and Corporate Directors Forum.
Ken has also served as the keynote
speaker for the CFO Roundtable and
the IIA.
